Notary and Commissioner of Oaths

We provide a complete range of documents notarization, certification and commissioner of oaths services at affordable rates. We are available on night and weekends and will help you even when the matter is urgent. An official notary public seal will be embossed with signature on the document at the time of notarization. The document then needs to be authenticated at the Document Authentication Office, before being sent to the Israeli Consulate for final approval.

As a licensed Israeli lawyer in Canada, as well as a Canadian lawyer and Notary Public, Avi Charney notarizes documents designated for use in Israel. Avi is one of the only licensed Israeli lawyers in Toronto, and similarly, is one of the only Canadian lawyers in Israel.

In Ontario, the Commissioning Process is governed by the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act, R.S.O. 1990 and the Notarization process is governed by the Notaries Act, R.S.O. 1990.

Avi Charney is fluent in both English and Hebrew and can certify that the correct interpretation and explanation have been provided under Rule 4.06 (8) of the Rules of Civil Procedure, namely:

“Where it appears to a person taking an affidavit that the deponent does not understand the language used in the affidavit, the person shall certify in the jurat that the affidavit was interpreted to the deponent in the person’s presence by a named interpreter who took an oath or made an affirmation before him or her to interpret the affidavit correctly. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 194, r. 4.06 (8).”
